From the first drink to the last conversation - Una Hacienda does it differently.
Una Hacienda - a rooftop bar with a brief that was both open-ended and precise: to create a space that wasn’t bound by a fixed theme, but instead felt personal, fluid, and full of life. A setting that carried the ease of a home, while still holding the energy of a bar - we translated this into a single, open-plan terrace, where the experience unfolds through movement rather than enclosure.
Drawing from the idea of a hacienda, we focused on material warmth, layered detailing, and a lived-in quality - creating a place that feels familiar yet dynamic, where each visit can take on its own pace.
Positioned beneath a large glass roof, the bar takes on a conservatory-like character - shifting in mood through the day while remaining the constant source around which everything moves. By day, it feels open and expansive; by night, it becomes intimate and atmospheric. Layered with artefacts, artwork, and bottles, it retains a lived-in quality, while the DJ console at its centre allows the experience to shift - from quiet gatherings to more performative, music-led evenings.
The experience begins before you’ve even taken a seat. As you arrive, a canopy of larger-than-life umbrella lights unfolds above the tables. Sculptural and softly lit, they cast a warm glow across the space, with subtle graphic detailing that draws you in. Exposed brick forms the backdrop, while layers of wood - across surfaces, joinery, and furniture - bring depth and continuity to the space. Glass and metal are introduced more subtly, adding contrast without disrupting the overall softness.
